Fear Of Recovery From Anxiety

October 19, 2009 by Alex Taylor

In my Instant Panic Relief program (coming very soon!) I have a section called “The 4 Cornerstones.” It’s about the 4 most basic problems that are responsible for most of your anxiety. I thought I’d give you a little flavour of what that section of the program is about by sharing a small sample from the section on “recovery.”

That’s what the video below is about, and I really hope you enjoy it and find it useful. Please comment after you watch it!

Spot on! I’m almost there, this is what I needed to hear. THNX!- Jeff

Alex: That’s great, Jeff! Sounds like you’re making great progress :)

    Great advise

someone once told me to visualize myself in the future with no anxiety and all the things I would be doing.

It sounded good, but often visulalizing myself doing big things would really scare me
    and make me more anxious.

I guess it’s ok to visualize myself doing small things at first
but thinking and visulalizing the big goals at the begining was making me more anxious.

    thanks for making this clear

Alex: You’re absolutely right, Shay, and the same thing used to happen to me. It seems natural to visualise yourself in the future with no anxiety, but it really can be damaging. I *have* found some ways to do it safely, though, so I’ll be sharing those with you soon too.
